He followed the clean thread
Clear to the end
Closing gaps in curlycues
Thus stoking the gleaming
Lines to perpetuity,
Also too tweaking expendables
more the queue, plotting
His spare kickers in snippets
And leaving little to
The imagination.
At the finish he produced
A sharpened barb, the hook
He’d been dangling guardedly
Underfoot the kraken;
Curse the flaking rust
Once steel,
& a thread unraveled--
Here a blue dotted line crosses
Over a checked ampersand
Dispensing of one
Essential synonym
And the critics howl. Every
Total failure is
A retrospective
Genius and the winner
Lifts his leg to the vanquished.

Excellent, how true, too? Not the leg lifting, necessarily, but now all total failures become teachers when all is said and done.

Life is a fractal, it is. Follow to the end, then dissolve, dissolve again.

Brian & Subby... thanks, i guess it is a good sum up.

Reya, too true...i wonder, how much do we learn from our mistakes...how many do we repeat over and over?

Hi Candie...what's up with you?

As a total failure, there is hope for me then that I might acquire a teaching position! (I read "Plotting his spare knickers in snippets")
