D.H: Look, a monkey!
D.H: Ack; flowers.Tom: Sure; not only do we have giraffes and lions and all types of monkeys, there are a great variety of plants and trees...it's almost like a botanical garden, but not quite...that is downtown and is a great adventure in itself.
Tom: And this is the brand new exhibit, the African Veldt...there is a ski lift ride that goes over the top.
D.H: They're stripey!
D.H: Don't tell; more flowers. Yawn.
Tom: No! Smarty pants; the catalpa trees are blooming...aren't they pretty?
D.H: Ha, ha! Funny little flower head!
Tom: And this is the brand new exhibit, the African Veldt...there is a ski lift ride that goes over the top.D.H: They're stripey!

D.H: What the...this thing is blue!

D.H: Now can we go to the arcade?
Tom: How 'bout i buy you a Blizzard and a rubber snake?
D.H: Yea; I love the Zoo!

happy 100th post! love th zoo, went there with the fam a few weeks back. D.H. might have liked to watch the wolverine get fed the "meat product." it's actual name. thee zoo guy tried to explain it but it sounded too much like the recipe for McDonald's hamburgers so tuned it out.

Congrats on your 100th, will you receive a telegram from the Queen? Taronga Zoo in Sydney has the BEST view of the harbour ever. I wouldn't mind being a giraffe there frankly.

Okay, now I can relax, cause I kept my promise, and enjoy the zoo pics thourougly. I love them. DH and you are having a great 100th. I have not been to a zoo in such a long time. I know the grandkids go with their parents, but we have not gone. Maybe sometime though we will go again.
I am glad that you and DH had a great time there. And the flowers would be lovely to eat, if they were edible. I have only eaten a few flowers, so it is not something we seem to normally do. Thank you for sharing your zoo time with us.
