The First Year on Twilight

Part 1
Here we are, going on one year here on Twilight.
I thought this would be a good place to document
some of the landscaping projects and plantings.

Mulching was a big endeavor late this spring.

In the existing round bed (a medium sized magnolia once stood here, heavily
infested by scale) is now a small crescent stone wall and a Harry Lauder's Walking Stick.
It doesn't look particularly good right now, but the annuals are purpley!

I found these two sumacs last fall and thought
they would work great along the back garage wall.

There is a larger, existing hydrangea tree along the front of house, and we hope this one
outside the 3 season room will do well too. The 3 small, existing, lilacs bloomed well
in the spring, but they are looking a bit poorly now. Are their days numbered?
