End of Games!

 Is it a foregone conclusion? Going in to the final two games, the stars have all come out to cheer on their domino heroes. Here is Captain Turtle posing with the favorite, Gazing Ball.

With some good back and forth, the double-One round looks even - for a bit. Then phONEruns out of moves and collects too many points. He finishes with another big load: 61 points!

It's not looking good, and is all but over going to the last round. The Double O! The players put their racks together, and the options look pretty good. phONEstarts the community train early, because his train is not oh-so-long. Before long both players run out of tiles, and have too many unplayable doubles... calamity ensues, but...

Gazing Ball prevails! Final score 123 to 262.

This was a hard fought match, and the globe was in it the whole race. She started the games from behind, but then caught up and never looked back, going out first five times down the back stretch!

Fourth Elim

Three players, and two games: Who will survive to the Final Competition? WHO???

'Nanners wins! And doing so catches the globe with 31 and (whoopsie)
phONEwith a whopping 47! Now Gazing Ball leads with 123, 'Nanners has 137, and phONEfalls into last with 143! Still, the scores are close and it's anyone's game. On to the double-two Round!

Round of Two's: phONEwas on the hook, but Gazing Ball took a bite out of 'Nanners in a long, hotly contested bout. For a while it looked like phONEmight fall in a bloodbath, but the game went on and on and on. The globe prevailed, finally, and 'Nanners slipped on his own peel, scoring 57! Bad news in this elimination round!

On to the final two rounds. phONEis trailing with a score of 168, forty-five points behind Gazing Ball's 123. WHO will prevail?

Another Elimination!

 Round Six, and phONE wins for the third time. His lead is secure!

 Gazing Ball does well in Round Five, catching Mr. Gingerbread Man with 26 points and knocking him from second place. The globe moves into second as the third elimination round looms large!

 Round Four, Gazing Ball wins again.
This time he gets the gingerman with a whopping 30 points, and forces the dimpled one out! Oh no!

Four rounds left and we're down to three players! Excitement is WoW!

Good Golly No! 

phONE once again wins! The scores are: phONE71, Mr. Gingerbread Man 73, Globe 78, 'Nanners 88, and CRIPES! Sloth JR with 108! Slothy scores a whopping 71 and goes from best to worst:

Round of Tens!

Oh No! Battery almost needed to win this round to remain in the game; alas, he scored a whopping 30 and is booted!

Sloth Jr and phONE also score high (37 & 35). phONE will need to do much better to survive to the next cut.

But the big winner in the Tens is Mr Gingerbread Man! Woo Hoo!

At this point, the Gingerman leads with 18, and there is a virtual tie for 2nd with three scores in the high 30's. On to the round of Nines!

Round Two, the Elevens!

Whazzat? Sloth Jr wins AGAIN!?!

Mr. Gingerbread Man comes in at 18 points, 'Nanner at 19, phONE has 30, GazingBall has 31, and Battery is holding steady in last with 55.

Round One was a great competition, with 3 players down to their last tile! Sloth Jr finished first, and Battery scored a dismal 48! He has two rounds to keep his score respectable, or stands to exit the game early!

Porch wins the round, but in a surprise twist of fate, Sloth scores a whopping 72 points, alas.

Stay tuned, the game goes on (some day, somewhere) with only four players standing. Or sitting.

Okay, round 5, the double-three round, and our host with the most, Sloth (67), takes the lead away from Sink (78). This is a good time for snacks! It's big scores after that and Porch is in last with 113.

And finally, Domino of Dominance, after a rough start with no starting tile, captures a second desperate win (109). Scores are tight, with Porch at 117 and Sink narrowly in the lead (88). Sloth is contemplating a cookie break.

 Round 7 is a goodun for Sink, his 3rd win, and Sink is solidly in the lead. Sloth is playing choo choo,

on to round 3 and 4!

Big round, exciting too! The 3rd turns out some high scores, as Sink (53) rolls over the competition, and takes a narrow lead.

 Round 4, the first elimination round, who will make the cut? It's a low scoring round, as Sink (53) goes out first, Sloth's last tile is worth 0, TV finishes with 1, and DoD has only 4! Phone is highest with only 16 points, but with a total four round score of 138, Phone is booted!

The semi-annual Mexican Train Tournament!

Get ready for some heated play, the DoD won't hold any punches!

Domino of Dominance, that is! So, in striking form the DoD starts the games out with a win.

Is this a portent of The Future? Watch, as Sloth keeps a keen eye on the scores.

Round 2 turns out some lower scores, as Porch flips over his final tile first. Sloth takes a bath with 30, but he's still in the hunt. The DoD retains the lead, though, with a minimal score of 13.

Sloth thinks this is thirsty work, he trails by 17 points. TV tops out with a whopping 60!
